Why am I so happy?
Despite many life challenges, I have found ways to develop myself into a happy, ethical person with a meaningful life, no matter what happens.
Combining experiential, cognitive, and relational approaches, I help those that wish to to realize that they have the power to make their lives, themselves, and their relationships better. I can help you make changes in how you behave and communicate in your relationships so that your relationships flourish and nourish your well-being. And last but certainly not least, I help you connect with your inner knowing in a compassionate manner. This allows you to gain clarity so as to think and behave in accord with this greater understanding and sense of freedom, so that you are more attuned with yourself, your relationships, and the Universe.
My sessions make use of a wide variety of methods including methods of self-attunement and self-compassion, cognitive therapy tools, and insights on relationships gleaned from John Gottman's research. Jungian archetypal methods are also employed, and I am always adding to my arsenal of tools and methods.
My background includes being inspired and directed by a full range of social scientific information, therapeutic, and educational approaches. These include, among others, Focusing, Emotion Coaching, Non-Violent Communication, Archetypal Analysis, Cognitive Therapy methods, among others. I have a master's degree in the social sciences from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I am also certified as a Sex Educator through San Francisco Sex Information (SFSI).
Because I use my intuition with clients, our coaching sessions are relatively unstructured. If you are willing to make changes, insights and solutions come quickly. We might start by trying to define your problem. I then act as a catalyst, using my knowledge and experience to help you in a supportive way to take positive steps forward.
